On January 22, 2024 LHU and Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company signed a cooperation agreement to establish a semiconductor integrated circuit center in Dong Nai province.
Comrade Nguyen Hong Linh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Nguyen Son Hung - Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of Digital Transformation Advisory Council; and Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Anh Thi - Head of Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park Management Board attended the event.
There was also the participation of representatives from provincial departments, branches and agencies. From LHU, there were Ms. Do Thi Lan Dai - Chairwoman of the University Council; Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector; Members of Board of Rectors, leaders of units. Sun Edu Company was represented by Mr. Truong Cong Minh Hien - Chairman of the Board of Directors.

According to the agreement, the two sides will focus on developing advanced training programmes, providing theoretical knowledge, practical skills for students, thereby enhancing their capacity and preparing them to become high-quality experts in the field of electronics and semiconductor IC.
Additionally, the two sides will build a comprehensive IC engineer training program to meet increasingly stringent requirements of the labor market and the industry, helping students gain in-depth knowledge and essential skills to succeed in their future careers.

The two parties also commit to supporting research and technology development in the semiconductor IC industry through creating favorable conditions for research activities, innovation projects and technology transfer, contributing to promoting the development of the electronics and semiconductor IC industry as well as the economic growth in the southeast region.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung expected that the semiconductor IC center in Dong Nai would be a place for experts, core lecturers, and high quality personnel to continue training and developing the provincial human resources, meeting the increasing need for human resource shortage in this field. It will also contribute to realizing the Government's goal of 50,000 engineers by 2030 for the semiconductor IC industry, promoting the development of the semiconductor ecosystem and creating new motivation and high-tech investment attraction in Dong Nai and the region.

Also, he specifically requested relevant departments and branches to support and create favorable conditions for LHU to implement the agreement, contributing to promoting the development of the province's semiconductor IC industry.

In the coming time, Dong Nai province will deploy mechanisms and policies to encourage universities to do basic research and train high-quality human resources to lead the development of the semiconductor IC industry; creating human resource demand for this industry by promoting stronger digital transformation.
