At the event, Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector of LHU shared "I was also a student 35 years ago. That day, I was lucky because I lived in Saigon and went to school in Thu Duc, so I didn't have to take the bus home like my schoolmates. At that time, every year, a packed bus taking students home for Tet had an accident during the last days of the year with hurry. With the thought of bringing students back home to celebrate Tet safely, the Tet buses program was born 5 years ago. I am so grateful that over the past 5 years, many businesses have sponsored this program, seeing familiar faces from companies. Some are alumni and even teachers. I was very touched. On your return home for Tet, I would like to wish your parents good health, happiness, and prosperous business."
As revealed by the Organizers, more than 500 students have registered for the program. Accordingly, 251 students will be taken home by Tet buses, while the remainders will receive financial support to return to their hometown to celebrate Tet with a total cost of nearly 500 million VND. In addition, the University gave more than 500 lucky money envelopes and awarded 20 Tet gifts to students with difficult circumstances.
